S19 Sungei Kadut Masterplan
12 week Master plan project at the National University of Singapore Master of Science in Integrated Sustainable Design Studio, in collaboration with WOHA architects.
This project was sponsored by Jurong Town Corporation (JTC), a statutory board under the Singapore Ministry of Welfare.
Sungei Kadut is an industrial estate located on the Northern edge of Singapore that contains a large portion of construction industry and manufacturing industry within the country. This MASTER PLAN RE-IMAGINE how sungei kadut can function within an ecological framework that is resilient, intelligent, efficient, and circular. through workshops with ken webster (ellen macarthur foundation), sann carrière (so now), serge salat (Urban Morphology and Complex Systems Institute), chrisna du plessis (University of Pretoria), and anuj jain (biosea, biomimicry singapore network), a framework understanding of ecological thinking and circular economy was developed for this project.

From these core ideas, a MASTER PLAN was developed for this 6 SQ KM site for 2050 singapore.
